JULY 2010 UPDATE
Saturday 10 July 2010
It been a very hectic work schedule for me over recent months, hardly any rest time but I still manage to get to some English tea rooms.
I have had a couple of technical issues to resolve, hence the late upload of all the English tea rooms that I visited in the South West. These technical issues are now resolved and I will upload the South West tea room reviews over the coming days but hope you have enjoyed watching the musical slideshow in the meantime.
I have recently re-designed the home page and also made the four photographs of the recent tea rooms that have I have recently visited a little larger and more prominent. Not sure if I like the new home page design – suggestions welcomed!
Today I re-visited the Beech Court Gardens and Tea Room in Challock, near Ashford, Kent. It is so peaceful, calm and lovely and if you have never visited Beech Court before, take a drive to it and I guarantee that you will not be disappointed.
Last Wednesday, I re-visited Miss Mollett’s High Class Tea Room in Appledore, near Ashford and Tenterden. I met some people who are taking a short break in Lydd, near Ashford. They live outside Kingston, Surrey and found Miss Mollett’s by visiting Joe Ellis tea room website. I was so pleased that the website is working well.
I have also been asked to write about English tea rooms with pictures for the Women’s Institute 2011 Annual Journal. I am just finishing the copy now ready for submission. This will allow extra tea room profiling and I thank the WI for approaching me.
In conjunction with a press and media expert who works for NAKMAS, I have now created media packs which will now be given to new highly recommended and recommended tea rooms that I rate as to ensure press coverage and more customers! This has already worked well and proven successful.
Now working on the next bumper issue of the Time for Tea magazine with much more content and in full colour; it is still available on free subscription so please request a copy of the current magazine.
I am open to suggestions and hope you will also make some entries on the website Guestbook page.
Please keep well and enjoy the summer…..and tea rooms, of course!
