BUSY SUMMER MONTH!
Friday 6th August 2010
I am now pleased that all the reviews for the first tea room tour has been uploaded to the website and that I have received some e-mail’s from some of the owners of the tea rooms that I visited and all was positive.
I have had loads of positive comments about my interview for People in Focus magazine. I was going to archive the interview but the comments just keep coming in and for the time being at least, I’ll leave it on the home page.
I have had a busy week this week, travelling down to Mere in Wiltshire for karate but had the chance to take lunch at the Angel Corner Tea Room in Mere run by Imogen Richardson. A lovely tea room with a large selection of gifts from Kenya; if you have never visited Angel Corner Tea Room, you are missing a superb South West tea room.
The tea room feature for the Women’s Institute annual magazine will be submitted this weekend and I will keep you all informed of progress. The WI annual is due out in January 2011.
I am also delighted that Josephine Buchan former presenter for BBC’s Pebble Mill is presenting the first tea room feature with a local Charing, Ashford, Kent Production Company known as HATS Production which is headed by Harold Trill.
Miss Mollett’s High Class Tea Room in Appledore, Kent is the first tea room to be featured and the film will be released on various sites on the internet including YouTube supported by a national press release. I am very excited about this and I will post the film on our website as soon as it is released.
I am now working on the next issue for Time for Tea magazine which will be a bumper issue…..it is still free so request a copy via the website…click here for full details.
I am not doing my normal job (karate teaching) during the summer months, but I seem to work much harder when I should be resting and enjoying the summer months!
I have had lots of personal anguish recently. Since my father’s death in February of this year, my sister has been taken mentally ill due to my fathers passing and this has caused much family upset and my mother, Janet, is feeling low due to recent developments but we are getting through it but it is hard.
My wife Sandra is also feeling the pressure of study…she is doing a Doctorate in Education via the Sheffield Hallam University but she loves it!
I have again tampered with the design of the home page on the website but although much better than before, I am still not 100%.
So, enjoy the rest of the summer months and please visit the website as often as you can and please post a comment on the Guestbook – this I would really appreciate.
For now, take care and best wishes.
